Delphi stands out in the realm of sea transportation with its unique blend of luxury, comfort, aesthetic, and high performance. The design takes inspiration from the ferries used in modern coastal cities, but adds a touch of elegance that sets it apart. The sea taxi can accommodate up to 32 passengers, providing them with a visually delightful and comfortable journey.
The strength of Delphi lies in its use of high-performance materials such as aluminum and composites. These materials not only enhance the sea taxi's performance but also contribute to its sleek, contemporary look. The design features a composite hull and is realized through fiberglass technologies, demonstrating Gürsu's innovative approach to design and manufacturing.
Delphi's design is not just about aesthetics and performance. It also prioritizes passenger comfort and experience. The sea taxi is designed with windows all around the cabin, providing a spacious interior and panoramic view. The seating arrangement is thoughtfully planned to ensure all passengers enjoy a great view of the city and the sea.
Technical specifications of Delphi include a length overall (LoA) of 16 meters, a beam of 5.2 meters, a depth of 2.1 meters, and a draught of 1.3 meters. The catamaran is powered by two 500 hp engines and offers an interior area of 52 square meters, complete with a kitchenette, toilet, and luggage shelves.
The design of Delphi was a response to the social aspects of sea travel within big cities for short and mid distances. The challenge was to create an everyday use vehicle that offers a touch of luxury and comfort. Gürsu and his team at Designnobis successfully overcame this challenge, as evidenced by the Silver A' Design Award they received in 2017.
Delphi is a testament to Hakan Gürsu's innovative approach to design and his commitment to enhancing the travel experience. It is a shining example of how design can transform everyday experiences into something extraordinary.
